Hi Paul,
We understand you have been in contact with the majority of class members for the Class of 1957. We are co-chairs of a project, trying to get enough PHS alumni to sponsor a horse on the Berkshire Carousel and were hoping that you might help. We need to get word out to as many alumni as possible and solicit donations. Would you be willing to put out this email:
The Berkshire Carousel is a nonprofit organization committed to building and maintaining a carousel for downtown Pittsfield. When completed, the carousel will become an important part of all Berkshire County, and will be located in the heart of Downtown Pittsfield at 50 South Church Street. The project will help attract local and out of town people to the downtown which has been a bustling shopping area for decades. New businesses will develop geared built around the carousel theme as in other cities. School children and adults will be able to enjoy a beautiful community created art project and create future memories. “Everyone loves a carousel†and can remember one from their childhood. Many of us have fond memories of the one we had right here at Pontoosic Lake.
As PHS Alumni, we are sponsoring a horse that will represent us. It will be white with purple decorations and will include the dome. We will be part of creating this legacy that will last forever. Do not miss this opportunity to participate. We are asking all PHS alumni to donate. All donations are appreciated, no matter what the size. Checks should be made out to 'Berkshire Carousel' with a notation that they are for the PHS Alumni Horse. They are fully tax deductible and can be mailed to:
