 Gary Lausier, US Air Force. Here is a little story about Gary. Gary wanted to go to music school like Julliard and didn't plan on entering the service until after. Tony [Pivero] finally talked him into going into the Air Force under the 'buddy plan' where they would do boot camp and then get their choice of a duty station together. It sounded OK right up to when they took their physical together and Tony was rejected. Ralph Lake can still remember standing on the train platform in Pittsfield and watching Tony waving goodbye to Gary as he left for 4 years of active duty....
