Comment from Alex Shulhan: 'Boy do I remember 6th grade at Russell School! Our teacher was Mrs. Walker, a kindly woman, who sent me to the principal's office only a few times! Mrs. Scully, the principal, wouldn't bother with conversation. She'd just whack us across the knuckles with a ruler and send us back. Once, Larry 'I can't remember his last name' cut her telephone cord with scissors, so she couldn't call his parents. I had the misfortune of living directly behind the school. Sometimes Mrs. Scully would walk me by the ear to my mother, who would whack me for her! As class artists, my cousin Dorothy Fedoryshin and I would draw festive chalk murals on the blackboard during holiday festival periods. Smartest kids in class were Peter Meuller and Ellen Jenkins.'
