 Dick Rabideau served in the Navy for two years, eight months of that time in the Mediterranean on the USS Decatur (DD-936). Dick's picture is from 1960. Dick rating was a Fireman. Some comments from his shipmates: 'I knew Dick very well in 1959.He was a fireman working with us in R div. shipfitter gang. As i recall he was a hard woking, quiet and general all around nice guy.' & 'I was electricians mate on the Decatur from Dec 1957 - 1960. Dick Rabideau was my best friend on the ship.We had a lot of fun together as crew members on the Decatur. We were always on liberty together, even dated his wife's sister in Pittfield.
