Gaston Robert and Gerald Rufo bought it in 1973 and converted it into the Elglo Mall with a new bronzed facade. It passed through several more owners and was purchased last month for $450,000 (11/09) by local real estate developer George Whaling. He plans to return the facade to resemble its original appearance. Here is a combo picture showing what the building looks like in 2008 with the old Grant's store to its left.
