Roger Procopio  went into the Air Force right after graduation via the officers' training program at Lackland Air Base in San Antonio, TX. He says, 'I was in the Air Force from May 1962 to Sept 1966 ..and.. served as a Courier Officer in the Armed Forces Courier Service (AFRCOS) carrying classified material between locations around Europe and the Middle East. I was first stationed in Rhein Main AFB, Frankfurt, Germany and later in Paris, France. During this time I had several temporary assignments in Athens, Greece; Istanbul, Turkey;  Karachi, Pakistan and Beirut, Lebanon.  I wanted to travel and see the world and I got my wish.
