View through tall pines of the eastern shore of Pontoosuc Lake in
Pittsfield in the early 1940’s [upper picture], above, shows the old Pittsfield Boat Club building, center, and the vacant site of the one-time tea house and
skating rink, which burned in 1938. At the bottom of the upper picture is the publc bath area, shown again in the lower picture.
