610624 Classmate Al Grunow and his wife, Deanne, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2011. Al says: 'We were both members of Zion Lutheran Church on First Street next to the Commons. However, our church was undergoing a major renovation at the time, which wasn't scheduled to be completed until the fall and I was scheduled to start at Purdue in early September, with no time available to travel back then, so we were married in St. Stevens Church by our Lutheran Minister ---- we 'borrowed the church' for the ceremony. '
