The Wood Brothers block at 421 North St. in Pittsfield, shown above in 1986, is one of the most distinctive downtown buildings for the Gothic Revival flourishes on its facade. Built in 1922 by Joseph Wood and his son, Albert, whose family established the dity's first music store at 7 West St. in 1880.
